FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHO MAY ATTEND THE SPA?
Body Blitz Spa welcomes all women to enjoy its services and acknowledges the biological and gender diversity of its guests.

IS THERE NUDITY?
Yes. However, guests are required to wear a bathing suit bottom when in the pool area. Wearing a bathing suit top is optional. As our Body Scrubs, Muds, and Glows are water-based and treat the skin on the body including the buttocks and outer area of the breasts, we request guests wear a disposable thong, which is provided. We are happy to accommodate any modesty requests to ensure the comfort of our guests.

WHAT IS THE SAFETY PROCEDURE FOR YOUR POOLS?
We use state-of-the-art equipment and incorporate a strict sanitization policy. Our extensive filtration system, combined with a salt water chlorination system to sanitize the pools, ensures we adhere to Health Canada’s regulations. Our pools are cleaned and maintained on a daily basis, and our waters are tested manually five times per day.

ARE YOU ACCEPTING GROUPS?
Yes. A group consists of 5 to 15 women. We accept groups of 16 or more after 5pm, Tuesdays to Fridays. Please visit our Group Bookings page.

CAN I BOOK A BODY TREATMENT OR MASSAGE WITHOUT THE WATERS CIRCUIT?
Access to the Therapeutic Waters Circuit is included with your treatment. If you do not wish to use the waters, please advise us so we can schedule accordingly.

WHAT IF I AM LATE?
If you are running behind, please contact us. Depending on your timing, we may not be able to delay your treatment. In this case, your service will be shortened to allow our Spa Therapist to be on time for her next appointment, and the full service fee will apply.

WHAT IF I AM SICK?
If you have cold or flu symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with Covid, we ask that you reschedule.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy (48 hours for groups of 3+). Please note that you will be charged 50% of your treatment price if you fail to show up for your appointment or cancel without appropriate notice. A credit card number is required to secure your appointment.

DO YOU HAVE HEALTH RESTRICTIONS?
If you suffer from a cardiac or respiratory condition, high or low blood pressure, or a health condition, our Therapeutic Waters Circuit should only be used with a physician’s approval. Body Blitz Spa is NOT responsible for illness or injury due to client negligence.

CAN I VISIT IF I AM PREGNANT?
Please consult your physician as to the safety of doing the Therapeutic Waters Circuit. Body Blitz Spa offers a Prenatal Massage with an RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) and a select few Spa Treatments, which are appropriate for pregnant clients. Please call to inquire.

WHAT IS THE AGE REQUIREMENT?
Children under 13 are not permitted in the spa. Aged 13 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

CAN I USE MY CELL PHONE?
All electronics, including e-readers, cell phones, and cameras are strictly prohibited in the spa area. They may be used in reception.

ARE THE FACILITIES ACCESSIBLE TO GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES?
Yes. Guests with special requirements are encouraged to advise us when making a booking so that we can accommodate accordingly.

ARE MASSAGE TREATMENTS REIMBURSABLE BY MY PRIVATE GROUP INSURANCE?
Therapeutic, Deep Pressure, and Prenatal Massages are performed by RMTs, Registered Massage Therapists registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and are covered by health benefits. Please refer to your insurance policy. Our Relaxation Massage is NOT performed by an RMT, it is for relaxation purposes only, and it is not covered by health benefits.
